Stephanie Barton Maxwell

Executive Director

Executive Director, Stephanie Barton Maxwell, devotes herself to providing excellent assisted living and memory care services to her residents. Before Stephanie joined Summer House Ashton Manor, she was a Community Relations Sales Director for an assisted living community and an Account Executive for a Home Health company. Prior to those positions, Stephanie also worked for a local hospice company and a hospital. Stephanie’s professional background is in marketing, but her love and compassion for senior healthcare led her to pursue a successful career in the assisted living and memory care industry. Stephanie was awarded Employee of the Year in 2020! She has one son, Tate, whom she loves spending time with outside of her professional career.

Samantha Dufrene

Senior Lifestyle Counselor

Samantha Dufrene, brings over 16 years of sales and specialized customer service experience into her role as the Senior Lifestyle Counselor at SummerHouse Ashton Manor. Samantha’s warm and welcoming demeanor coupled with her dedication to resident satisfaction is a big part of what makes Ashton Manor truly feel like home to residents, team members, and guests. Samantha served in a regional sales role many years before becoming part of the Ashton Manor family. She currently resides here in Luling, and she has been part of the St. Charles Parish community all of her life. Samantha is married to her husband, Wade, and together they have three beautiful daughters, twelve-year-old Zoie and ten-year-old twins Addisyn and Braylyn. Samantha’s compassion for people and her ability to assess and meet their needs make her an invaluable asset to our Ashton Manor team.

Trudy Kinler Lopez

Director of Celebrations

Director of Celebrations, Trudy Kinler Lopez, has been working on the SummerHouse Ashton Manor team since 2012 when the community was established. Since then she has grown strong, personal relationships with both residents and their families. She is a native of Hahnville and a lifelong resident of St. Charles Parish, engaging with the seniors for more than 25 years. Trudy’s genuine love and devotion to the residents is endless; she strives to make each day a celebration that is fun, meaningful, and memorable. She stated, “It just makes my heart smile when I hear a resident say I am so glad to be HOME.” Trudy and her husband Joe recently became grandparents to Porter and Kennedy Marie. Outside of Grammie time, she enjoys exercising, decorating, gardening, and repurposing old furniture.

Lisa Wilson

Director of Health and Wellness

Director of Health and Wellness, Lisa Wilson, worked in the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office with 27 years of service as an administrative assistant and a nurse in the Corrections Division. Aside from working for the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office, Lisa’s work experience also consists of working at Ochsner Main Campus; Medical-Surgical Unit, for two years as well as a PRN nurse with Gifted Nurses Agency for 7 years. Lisa has been with the SummerHouse Ashton Manor team since 2016. She was born and raised in St. Charles Parish. Lisa graduated from Hahnville High School then went on to study at Our Lady of the Lake College in Baton Rouge, LA with a degree from nursing school. Lisa takes great pride in being a huge part of our family-oriented environment here at Ashton Manor. Lisa is married to her devoted husband Markievy. Lisa feels her team is professional and goes above and beyond to accommodate the residents’ daily needs.

A’Lexis Jefferson

Executive Chef

Executive Chef, A’Lexis Jefferson, has gained years of experience with the SummerHouse Ashton Manor team since 2013. A’Lexis has always had a love for cooking. Growing up in a big family, something was always on the stove and she was always there watching…and ready to cook! What she loves about working here is that it truly feels like a second family. A’Lexis has a true passion for baking in addition to her love to travel and try new things.
