Executive Director

Executive Director, Courtney L. Bartholomew, at SummerHouse Vista Shores Assisted Living and Memory Care oversees all community operations to ensure that residents receive the highest quality of care possible. Courtney has more than 20 years of experience in the senior care industry, including past positions at the East Baton Rouge Council on Aging, local Home Health & Hospices, which includes 15 years as both an Executive Director and Assistant Executive Director for Assisted Living and Memory Care communities. With an array of Healthcare and Dementia Certifications, Courtney believes in focusing on what a resident can do rather than what they can’t and coaches and educates her team to support and encourage their residents. At Vista Shores, Courtney ensures that the activities calendar is always full, and she goes the extra mile to plan interesting, engaging events that provide an active and upbeat lifestyle for her residents. Courtney’s further background in the hospitality industry ensures that the environment is one that invites and welcomes the residents’ home.

Courtney serves (past and present) on the Board of Directors for several organizations, including the Alzheimer’s Association of New Orleans, New Orleans Continuity of Care, and Certified Nursing Assistant Training Schools. Her communities have won NOLA.com & Time Picayune “Top Places to Work” for four years running for the environment and culture. Most recently, Courtney received The Gambit’s 2021 Frontline Heroes Award and featured the New Orleans’ Magazine – Faces of New Orleans Sections as “The Face Luxury Assisted Living.”

As a Native New Orleanian, Courtney loves and adores spending time with her family and attending various charitable events and galas. While embodying the true New Orleans culture, she prides herself as a dedicated fan of the New Orleans Saints – Black & Gold Nation!

Zoe Tobias

Director of Health & Wellness

Director of Health & Wellness, Zoe Tobias, holds extensive experience over the last 30 years in an array of Long-Term Care Setting fields including Nursing Homes, which have given her the insight to care for all stages of life in senior living. The pride she takes in caring for the residents and in relating to their family members, she believes, also is one of her greatest strengths.

Zoe has developed infection control programs that included training the team members and developing record systems that allowed the team to spot trends early and reduce the overall risk to patients and employees. Along with developing Staff Training including in-service programs, Zoe ensures the team is able to assess the residents’ health. She also serves as the Community’s “Animal Whisperer” to all our fur babies!

By way of Brooklyn, New York, Zoe has truly become a New Orleanian since arriving in 1999. When she is not enjoying her family time as tourist leader for those out of town, she enjoys listening to great local Jazz Musicians, attending the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, and patronizing local eateries.
